Some of my most favorite
dolls, I first learned of the BG Club You Dolls while searching for
info on Takara Jenny dolls online, when I came across
Biscuit's House
website. The owner has a ton of dolls in her collection, and the site
is very informative, great for new beginners. I highly recommend checking
it out.
Since these dolls were only in production for about 1 year from 1987-1988
I thought it was pretty unlikely I'd ever find one, but I started searching
anyway. And though it took a while I did finally find one of the school
dolls, which was indeed as wonderful as I had read other people describe
them. With life-like expressions, & more realistic body proportions
(including those ever famous huge feet), it's easy to see why if you buy
one, you're hooked!
That was a couple of years ago, since then I have managed to locate
several other dolls including a prized boy doll! Those are extremely hard
to find!
Below are images of the current dolls in my collection, one thing
you will notice is that nearly all the girl dolls have the same face mold,
I understand that there were only about 3 different head molds for the
girl dolls, I only have 2 of the versions, so I'm guessing the 3rd mold
either wasn't too popular or it came out near the end of the production
line which is why it was rarely used. Dolls measure approx. 12 1/2"-13"
tall and have bendable legs and hollow semi-poseable arms.

Kimono Dolls
These are the
only 2 kimono dolls produced.

Swim Suit Dolls
These are 2 of the swim suit dolls,
which of course originally wore swim suits, but I was lucky enough to find
some of the fashions that were made for the dolls as well, and here they
are sporting a couple of them.

Harajuku Dolls
From the shopping
spree collection, the doll on the left could totally pass for a mall rat
of the mid 80's while the doll on the right looks more like she enjoys doing
all her shopping in Paris. Viva Le France!

High School Dolls

While these 2 are supposed to be high school kids, their outfits and
hair styles seem more suited for younger girls. Maybe they were skipped
ahead a few grades??

I love this image of these 4 dolls together. You feel as if you're
gaining more brain power by just looking at them!
(BTW the glasses actually came with the boy doll but I wanted a better
pic of his face and adding the glasses to the girl doll helps to differentiate
her from the others)
